WSOP Chance of a lifetime: The fight for the title of "World Champion" continues.

The start of day four WSOP Poker News:

Tim Phan is in the lead with a chip count of $3,244,000. Day 4 is the first day of the combined fields.

Cards are in the air here at Day 4. We're due to finish the last hour of last night's level - Level 17 with $500 antes, and blinds of $2,500 - $5,000. Seat #9 and Seat #1 are both all-in with Ah-Kh and A-A. Minh Ly also calls with 7-7. The flop comes K-J-J, with a 2 on the turn, and a 7 on the river, giving Ly a full house and knocking both other players out of the tournament.

Dutch Boyd is all-in preflop with K-10 and is called by Chris Todlewski with A-A. The board comes Q-J-5, giving Boyd an open ended straight draw. The turn is a K. Boyd can now also hit an A for a chop. The river is the 4s, and Dutch Boyd's busted straight is eliminated by Todlewski's pocket Aces.

John Juanda and Howard Lederer are both all-in preflop.  Juanda has Lederer covered.  Lederer shows Ad-Jc, while Juanda shows Ah-Kh.  The board comes Kc-6h-3c-7h-9d, and Lederer is eliminated.

Mike Matusow is not that far behind in second place though with $2,600,000. Once the tournament clock started beeping for the ten-second countdown, there was a smattering of applause that built louder and louder as players realize that they'd survived another day in the biggest poker tournament in history.  Now comes the counting of the chips, before they are bagged and tagged. Then we'll return tomorrow to do this all over again. There are 58 players who have survived to play again on Day Five. The average chip count is about $969,000.
