Still in poker news, the World Seires of Poker is making poker news headlines again.

Bodog.comIn addition to qualifying over 70 players for the World Series of Poker, leading online gambling site Bodog.com offers also up-to-date odds on the WSOP.

Bodog.com's oddsmakers favour poker superstars Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu at 200/1. They are followed by top players Phil Hellmuth, Howard Lederer, Gus Hansen, Chris Ferguson and Erick Lindgren at 225/1.

"With the incredible growth of poker, our players have been clamouring for wagers on the WSOP", said Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "It really brings together two of our great strengths - event wagering and poker."

Bodog.com is poised to make a big splash at the 2005 World Series of Poker. In addition to fielding the 70-member Team Bodog and offering odds, the site will host the Bodog.com Poker & Sports Marketing Conference in Las Vegas on July 6th and 7th. Sports and poker luminaries expected to attend the conference include Reggie Jackson, Mike Ditka, Daniel Negreanu, WSOP tournament director Matt Savage, and more.

Hollywood PokerIn other WSOP News, 33 celebrity poker players took part in one of the largest celebrity online poker tournaments, which took place on June 18th at celebrity online poker room www.hollywoodpoker.com. The winner of the WSOP qualifier tournament, Bob Goen, won a poker package worth over $15,000.

Another winner, Emir Benjamin, won a prize worth over $13,000, including the $10,000 buy-in of the WSOP and 7 nights in Las Vegas, with everything included.

Among the online tournament's other celebrity participants were Jeremy London, Michael Ian Black, Tom Everett Scott, Nicholas Gonzalez, Kelli Williams and more.
